We're getting ready...

...for the Kids' Hop!

King Street is one of the passport sites in this year's Kids' Hop, SEABA's Art Hop for kids, on September 10th. We will be opening our doors to kids and families from 10-2. Come join us for some fun art projects, and to see art created by King Street kids!

Our campers have been busy painting self-portraits, which will be on display at the event.

Want to see what they're working on?

We hope you join us for the unveiling of these self-portraits on September 10th!

Readers' Theater

Last week we had a puppet show! With the help of Mr. Hajdun, a teacher from Champlain Elementary School who has been working with King Street campers on their reading this summer, the kids put on two shows: "The Little Red Hen" and "The Three Little Pigs."

Hear these familiar stories in their voices...

Fashion Week

Last week was Fashion Week at King Street Center. That meant that all week, Castle campers were busy designing ensembles...

sketching designs....

...and preparing for a runway show at the end of the week. When the day of the fashion show finally arrived, everyone was excited, nervous, and looking sharp!

There was time for designers to tweak their outfits:

And practice their runway walks:

Soon, everyone was lining up for the show.

Designers showed off their creations to an audience of parents, staff, and fellow campers, strutting down the runway to Michael Jackson's "Bad."

It was a great show!
