iPad Heaven
Our new technology is up and running, and I just realized that, although this has been a month full of tech-learning, I haven't blogged about it since December! Eeep!
So, here's what we've been doing as we get to know our new iPads (Our recent tech grant allowed us to purchase 5, and we share them throughout the center).
Vince, our volunteer who works with teens on college preparedness, has been using the iPads to explore schools and careers.
Youth in our Afterschool Excellence Program started out by playing around with the camera functions on the iPads. The Photobooth app has a tunnel vision setting.
We really like the tunnel vision setting.
We like it so much that . . . umm . . . sometimes I test it out on my son.
We've also been using the iPads to create animated stories using an app called Toontastic.

We are having so much fun. Oh, and we're learning a LOT, too.
